As a Roman Catholic school serving a parish and an archdiocese, we are dedicated to the dignity of every human being. Bishop John Carroll Cathedral School enrolls students with no discrimination in regard to sex, race, ethnic background, or economic status. Since we are a religiously-oriented school for the Catholic community, we give preference to members of the Roman Catholic Church, but welcome members of other denominations after our own community is served. BJCCS does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, ethnic background or economic status in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and assistance programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
It is the policy of the Catholic School Department of the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City to abide by the requirements established by the Board of Education of the State of Oklahoma. Children who are five (5) on or before September 1st may be admitted into Kindergarten in August of the same year. A first grade student must be six (6) on or before September 1st to be admitted into the first grade of the same year. Proof of age by furnishing a copy of a birth certificate is required. A student in second through eighth grade will be placed according to the grade information from the last school he/she attended. Proof of grade must be furnished at the time of enrollment.

Admission is based on available space within a classroom and the following guidelines:
The Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish contributes to an endowment fund of which the interest is used as tuition assistance for grades kindergarten thru eighth. It helps parish families, who may otherwise not be able to send their children to Bishop John Carroll Cathedral School, with part of their tuition.
In order to be eligible for consideration, a family must be officially registered in the parish, be active in parish life, and be contributing regularly to the parish in the weekly envelopes. The parish advisory committee that grants tuition assistance, tries to help as many families as funds allow.
The committee generally meets in late April or early May to determine tuition assistance grants, and families are notified soon after. If you have any questions regarding the application or the procedure, please call the school office for clarification.
Note: Students receiving tuition assistance are expected to show exemplary behavior and good study habits. The parents are expected to be supportive of school policies and to offer voluntary assistance whenever they can.
